Representative Office of HSBC Bank plc in Ukraine was established in January 2008 and presently consists of 2 staff members. Our objectives include representing HSBC with the government and community organisations in Ukraine, enhancing the HSBC image in the local market, maintaining relations with the local regulator, conducting financial market research, identifying business opportunities and prospective customers, providing in-country assistance and support to HSBC Group visitors to Ukraine.
Our Representative Office is not an operating bank and does not conduct any bank services as these are subject to licensing by the Ukrainian banking regulator. As such, we can not assist customers in the issues related to servicing HSBC bank cards, accounts or payments, i.e. we do not service the accounts, nor do we process payments or transfers. There are no HSBC ATM machines in Ukraine. Sometimes HSBC card holders experience problems when withdrawing cash from the local banks' ATM machines. Noting that, HSBC card holders are advised to make pre-arrangements before their visit to Ukraine and supply themselves with sufficient amount of cash for the travel.
We assist HSBC Group companies with client identification and their ID documents verification requests. Customers requiring such service are advised to contact Ukraine's office by telephone or email PRIOR TO initiating a visit to the office.
